Backroad Contracting provides vegetation management and noxious weed control for industrial, commercial and rural clients across the Peace Region. Uncontrolled growth on a lease or right-of-way costs sightlines, drainage and compliance, and noxious weeds spread quickly along the road and pipeline network once they take hold.
Work is planned around the site: an operating lease that has to stay clear, a roadside or right-of-way that needs a repeat program each season, or freshly reclaimed ground that needs weeds controlled while the seeded cover establishes.

Remote & Fly-In Weed Control
A large share of the work in Northeast BC sits well past the end of maintained road. Backroad Contracting carries out remote weed spraying and noxious weed control at difficult-access locations, including off-road sites and locations that are only reachable during certain seasons or over winter access.
Where conventional access is unavailable, crews, equipment and supplies can be mobilized to site with helicopter support. The helicopter is used for transportation into the location — application is performed on the ground by certified personnel, and Backroad Contracting does not own or operate the aircraft.
